Breast Augmentation With Lift in Houston

At our locations in Houston, breast augmentation with lift or breast lift with implants is one of the most frequently performed combination surgeries. It elevates and reshapes sagging breasts while adding volume, especially to the upper breast.

Why Breast Lift With Implants?

It is not uncommon for a woman to want both fuller and uplifted breasts, thus the popularity of this procedure.

Key benefits of a breast augmentation with lift include:

  • A more youthful breast position
  • Fuller, shapelier breasts
  • Balanced nipple and areola size
  • Improved breast symmetry
  • Enhanced comfort and confidence

While a breast lift, also referred to as mastopexy, is often combined with breast augmentation surgery, it is also performed as a stand-alone procedure.

Your Breast Augmentation With Lift Procedure

Your breast enhancement journey begins with a personalized consultation with one of our skilled, compassionate ACPS plastic surgeons. After determining if you’re a good candidate for the procedure, they will help you navigate your breast implant options, selecting a size, shape, and material that complements your body frame and aligns with your aesthetic preferences and goals.

After you are under general anesthesia, your surgeon performs the procedure by making an incision in the breast area, usually around the areola, then vertically down the underside of the breast. They remove excess skin and fat and create an internal pocket for the implant, either behind the natural breast tissue or below the muscle, to add fullness.

The surgeon then places the implant, repositions the tissue for a more aesthetically pleasing look, and carefully sutures the incisions closed. This surgical approach improves the size and position of the breasts while also providing a more youthful and attractive appearance.

Your Recovery

The recovery time for breast augmentation with lift varies depending on the individual, the extent of the surgery, and the techniques used. Generally, most patients should expect some swelling and bruising for a few weeks following the procedure, as well as these recovery milestones:

Right After Surgery

  • Return home on the day of surgery to prioritize rest and healing
  • Wear a postoperative bra or bandage for at least 48 hours after surgery

1 to 2 Weeks

  • Wear compression garments as directed by your surgeon to minimize swelling and aid healing
  • Return to work and nonstrenuous activities within about a week
  • Refrain from lifting anything heavier than 5 to 10 pounds for several weeks

4 to 6 Weeks

  • Light exercise (walking or swimming) is permitted during healing
  • Refrain from vigorous workouts for 4 to 6 weeks

After a month or so, you can enjoy your youthful new look and feel confident about your results. Implants continue to soften and settle for several months, and scars gradually flatten and fade over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a breast augmentation and a breast lift?

Breast augmentation involves inserting an implant to increase the size of the breasts, while a mastopexy lifts and reshapes the existing tissue to improve sagging, deflated breasts.

How long do breast augmentation with lift results last?

The results of a breast augmentation with lift are long-lasting, although some patients may benefit from additional treatments over time. Maintaining a stable weight and wearing supportive bras helps preserve your results for many years.

What are scars like after a breast augmentation with a lift?

While scars are inevitable with any surgery, our skilled surgeons take great care to place incisions in discreet locations, such as around the areola or under the natural breast fold. With proper care, scars typically fade significantly over time and are well concealed by underwear and swimwear.
