ACPS MedSpa – Experienced Aesthetician
We are a high-volume MedSpa attached to a high-volume Plastic Surgery office in Houston, TX looking to hire an Aesthetician/Laser Technician with at least 3-years experience in Dermatology/MedSpa/Plastic Surgery. This position is responsible performing noninvasive aesthetics service on patients of the practice. The ideal candidate must be self-driven, with proven sales/patient outcomes and possess excellent communication skills.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of treating patients with aesthetic treatments in a medical practice treatment (dermatology, medpsa, plastic surgery, obgyn), ideally 5 years’ experience
Qualifications, Skills, & Preferences:
- Minimum 3 years as an aesthetician and/or certified laser technician and/or license massage therapist with training in medical aesthetics
- Training and experience, preferably with certification in aesthetic treatments like the following services:
- laser hair removal (Candela Gentle Yag)
- IPL photo rejuvenation/BBL (Sciton Forever Young BBL)
- Laser skin rejuvenation (Clear+Brilliant, Fraxel, HALO)
- Microneedling (Ecplise)
- Fat Reductions (CoolScultping)
- RF/MicroNeedling (Morpheus8)
- RF/Skin Tightening (ThermiSmooth/NuEra)
- Ultrasound Tightening (Ultherpy)
- Medical Grade Facials (Diamond Glow Facial)
- Chemical Peels (SkinMedica, SkinCeuticals, VI Peel)
- Microderm
- Dermaplanning
- Proactively and within the context of individual patient needs, cross-sells other company products and services on a consultative basis
- Advanced knowledge of skin and skin care product formulations and technology – knowledge of SkinMedica & Alastin would be a plus
- Proven ability to achieve monthly goals
- Must be responsible, professional, and ambitious
- Must be motivated, personable, and articulate
- Must have exceptional customer service and strong patient relations
- Must have the ability to educate patients and not “sell” to patients
- Must have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and patients
- Must be able to use EMR system for charting. Nextech experience is preferred
- Self-starter and passion for learning
- Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Spanish not required, but a plus
- Reports to the Medspa Manager
Responsibilities:
- Provide consultations to patients who are interested in all elective services offered by the practice
- Respects culture and abides by Culture Guide
- Perform aesthetic procedures as described above
- Accurately assess the condition of a patient’s skin and make informed recommendations about treatments and/or skin care product regimens to enhance the appearance of their skin
- Errs on the side of caution with regard to any outside or patient-specific variable that could impact procedure safety, patient comfort, or results
- Ensures that procedure rooms are maintained in a healthy and clean manner and conform to the standards of sterility and use
- Generating/maintaining a patient base
- Contribute to the creation of promotional campaigns that will grow the business
- Answering incoming patient questions and/or concerns (issues or questions that the front desk staff cannot handle)
- Maintains all equipment, supplies, and other procedural equipment to our standards
- All other duties as assigned.
Interview Process
- If selected for an interview, it will be held with the MedSpa Manager who is the direct supervisor for this position
- If selected for the next round, it will be a working interview where the candidate will be asked to perform a treatment on a staff member while being observed.
- Final candidates will interview with Paul Fortes, M.D. one of the owners of the MedSpa.

The ideal candidate must be self-driven, with proven sales/patient outcomes and possess excellent communication skills.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of treating patients as a RN,NP or PA with aesthetic treatments in a medical practice treatment (dermatology, medpsa, plastic surgery, obgyn), ideally 5 years’ experience
Qualifications, Skills, & Preferences:
- Minimum 3 years practicing aesthetic nurse [RN,NP,PA] with training in medical aesthetics including Advanced skills in administering injectable treatments for facial wrinkles and volumizing using neurotoxin, dermal fillers, and other well-known products.
- Valid Nursing License [RN, NP, PA]
- Training and experience, preferably with certification in aesthetic treatments like the following services:
- Toxins [Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau]
- Injectable Fillers [Allergan, Galderma, Revance, Merz]
- Laser skin rejuvenation (Clear+Brilliant, Fraxel, HALO)
- Microneedling (Ecplise)
- RF/MicroNeedling (Morpheus8)
- Ultrasound Tightening (Ultherpy)
- Sweat Reduction [MiraDry]
