Breast Augmentation Procedure
In the breast augmentation procedure, small incisions are made in the crease under the breasst. Silicone or saline implants are then placed within small pockets that are formed behind the chest muscle. ACPS surgeons have found that placing the implants beneath the chest muscle produces the best aesthetic result, giving the breasts a gentler slope and a more natural teardrop shape. Silicone implants are placed prefilled into the pockets, while saline implants are filled with sterile saline water after being placed inside the breast pockets .Breast augmentation is performed as an outpatient procedure under general anesthesia and takes approximately one to two hours to complete.
