CENTER FOR CLINICAL RESEARCH AND PLASTIC SURGERY EDUCATION

                                 DESCRIPTION

The center for Clinical research and plastic surgery education at the Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery is a 1200 sq ft facility within the ACPS premises designed to educate the novice plastic surgeon  or to update the experienced plastic surgeon with the latest procedures  in aesthetic surgery.Two certified and fully accredited operating suites, a state of the art  conference room, a complete video library and the latest computer technology are available for educational and research purposes.  It is open to  local and international plastic surgeons who would like to observe the most updated techniques being performed by the ACPS surgeons.


                                                              MISSION

This clinical research and educational  unit was created to coordinate efforts so that the ACPS continues to  educate, evaluate and offer the latest and safest techniques in aesthetic plastic surgery. Our goal is to continue our tradition as a center of excellence, always striving for the highest  standards in  patient care and maintaining our leadership in the forefront of aesthetic plastic surgery.

                          OVERVIEW 

Education:  With over 23 years of experience in the field of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery Amado Ruiz-Razura, MD,FACS,FICS  is a unique addition to the Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery.   As a professor in the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston,  Dr Ruiz-Razura is responsible for directing the clinical rotations of medical students, residents and fellows through the Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery. 

Clinical Research: Recognized as an outstanding surgeon, educator, and contributor to hundreds of presentations, articles and papers on plastic surgery  including  inventions and patents, Dr. Ruiz-Razura continues to expand his innovative mind, clinical judgement, educational and research talents on behalf of The Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery. He is responsible for all the clinical protocols and research studies been conducted at the center. International Relations: Dr. Ruiz-Razura and his staff at the ACPS have created  an international center to promote the advancement of plastic surgery techniques and the refinement of traditional plastic surgery procedures. Surgeons throughout Europe, Asia and  Latin America have come to witness first hand the highly skilled and refined plastic surgery techniques pioneered and been performed at The Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery.

Training and Research Facilitator: Dr. Ruiz-Razura conducts educational training seminars on today's cutting edge surgical advancements  and innovative approaches to cosmetic surgery on behalf of The Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery. He facilitates the production of clinical research studies by working closely with companies that offer the latest products, equipment and instrumentation developed to improve patient care and plastic surgery outcomes.

Media Liaison: Dr. Ruiz-Razura is the practice liaison for all media outlets. He is available to international, national and local media to discuss any and all recent developments in plastic surgery, on- going research protocols as well as to clarify and educate the media on today's most popular plastic surgery procedures. Fluent in English, Spanish and French, Dr. Ruiz-Razura also coordinates and interfaces with media outlets throughout Europe and Latin America.
