American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory
Surgery Facilities, Inc.

An organization that insures surgical facilities meet rigid guidelines and requires that the practicing physicians are certified in plastic surgery with operating privileges at a local accredited hospital. |
American Board of Plastic Surgery

Certification requiring three years of general surgery, two years residency in plastic surgery and the successful completion of written and oral exams. |
American Society of Plastic Surgeons

A national medical specialty society requiring ABPS certification as a condition for membership. Members of this society must adhere to rigid guidelines to maintain an active membership. |
Lipoplasty Society

Each of its members is certified in plastic surgery, is active in the ASPS, and has completed at least one of the specialized lipoplasty symposiums sponsored by the Lipoplasty Society of North America. |
